First bowls: letters from SG & HK
Share
SHOGUN ships from Japan to Singapore and Hong Kong, which means the first people to judge it were some of the most discerning dog owners in Asia — apartment dwellers with picky eaters, senior dogs, and no patience for marketing. Here is what they wrote after the first bowls, in their own words.
On picky eaters
"I tried four premium brands before SHOGUN and my Toy Poodle would walk away from each one. With SHOGUN he eats every meal in one sitting. The smell is different — there's a real depth to it." — Wei L.
"We have several dogs at home in Hong Kong and three of them are notoriously picky." — Daniel Y., whose pack cleaned the bowl from day one.
On coats and condition
"My ten-year-old Pekingese had a dull coat for as long as I remembered. After eight weeks on SHOGUN the gloss came back and his groomer noticed before I told her." — Adrian C.
On sensitive stomachs
"My fourteen-year-old Pomeranian has a sensitive stomach. SHOGUN has been the first food in years that doesn't upset it." — Hui Lin C.
Switching without upsetting the stomach
Whatever food you come from, change it gradually. Start with about 10% SHOGUN mixed into the current food, and increase the share a little each day over about two weeks. Split the daily amount into two to four meals, and always keep fresh water available. Our feeding guide on the product page calculates the exact grams per day for your dog's weight and life stage.
The safety net
Every order ships free from Japan, and a 30-day guarantee covers the first bag. If your dog is the fussiest eater in Singapore or Hong Kong — that is exactly who this food was tested on.
